“A young girl, J, struggles to set a boundary with her childhood best friend.”

“Elastic” is Veronica’s thesis film at NYU which she shot in her hometown of Decatur, Illinois. The short, now in post-production, focuses on the breaking point of a friendship between two young girls, both who are trying to navigate their own loss of girlhood. “Elastic” explores themes of emerging self-awareness, sexuality, and consent in female youth.
